Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mosquito and Pest Pest Control Service Manager to join our team and lead our operations to new heights. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Mosquito, Termite, and Pest control services, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. In addition to these responsibilities, the Service Manager will play a crucial role in various administrative and logistical tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Pest Control Operations: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of pest biology, integrated pest management (IPM), and pest control methods to oversee and execute pest control services effectively.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Manage a team of Lead technicians and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Assist with Hiring and Interviews: Participate in the hiring and interview process for service staff, helping to identify top talent for our team.
  • Scheduling & Routing: Efficiently schedule and allocate resources, ensuring that routes are optimized for efficiency. Ensure all treatments are ordered to maximize efficiency. Routing Efficiencies: Ensure routing efficiencies by scheduling neighboring locations on the same days.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as providing weekly and monthly reports from Field Routes.
  • Monitoring Compliance: Operations, monitoring technician clock in/out times and service notes, and reviewing filters/restrictions in Field Routes.
  • Logistics and Inventory Management: Monitor and account for inventory of trucks, blowers, service equipment, and chemicals.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee fleet maintenance, conduct end-of-day fleet check-ins, and ensure vehicle inspections and compliance.
  • Employee Development: Facilitate training for new technicians in both mosquito and pest control, both in the field and office settings. Provide ongoing technical and product training.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Handle difficult customer interactions, including ghosting, and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure team members receive safety training and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Sales Training: Provide technician sales training and coaching, including ride-along for field sales training.
  • Departmental Meetings: Lead weekly departmental WIN meetings to discuss operational updates and improvements.
  • Bamboo and Time Keeping: Complete daily operations reports and update timekeeping in Bamboo for accurate record-keeping.
  • Vehicle GPS and Cameras: Monitor vehicle GPS and cameras to track technician locations and activities.
  • Indeed and Hiring Sites: Monitor job postings on job search websites like Indeed and other hiring sites to attract potential candidates.
  • Chemical Usage Tracking: Track chemical usage in the evenings to ensure proper inventory management.
  • 10-Minute Huddle: Conduct a daily 10-minute huddle with the operations team to align on daily goals and tasks.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Minimum of five years of experience as a Senior Pest Control Technician, Level III, with a deep understanding of all facets of pest control operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior technicians.
  • Business Acumen: Proficiency in business and financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Thorough knowledge of relevant pest control regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Customer-Centric: Commitment to ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Inventory Management: Familiarity with inventory control and supply ordering processes.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Pest Control Certification/License (required)
Completion of Advanced Leadership Training Course (preferred)
Requires Commercial Applicator License Cat 7A and 8 Preferred

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
